About UMass: The Minutemen finished 14-18 last season, breaking a streak of four straight winning seasons under Kellogg. They tied for 10th in the A-10 at 6-10 and were picked to finish 10th in the preseason poll this season. … Jarreau and Greshman were part of the top-ranked recruiting class in the A-10. The UMass class of 2016 ranked 33rd in the nation, according to 247Sports.com. Jarreau ranked 54th overall. Pipkins was in the 2015 class but sat out last season as a non-qualifier. … UMass beat Temple 70-67 on Nov. 17 for its best non-conference victory. Temple ranks 47th in the RPI. UMass is No. 94.
