Joey Votto Reds’ 2017 Hank Aaron award finalist


Joey Votto was announced as the Reds’ 2017 Hank Aaron award finalist on Monday. 

Votto won the prestigious honor in 2010. He’s one of six who will represent their team after winning the award previously.

The award recognizes “the most outstanding offensive performer in each league since it was established in 1999.” Fans can vote for their preferred player through MLB.com and the team sites until Oct. 14. Hall of Fame players, including Hank Aaron, will also vote.
