Hue Jackson reminds fans Browns aren’t in win-now mode

When the Browns dropped to 0-3 with a 31-28 loss to the Colts on Sunday, coach Hue Jackson was candid.

The Browns are the only team that hasn’t led a game this year. Reality: They aren’t built to win.

"That question that you just asked, that's something that you've got to talk to (Browns Executive Vice President of Football Operations Sashi Brown) about, and the executive team," Jackson said.

Jackson dropped to 1-18 in his Browns coaching career. It’s rare in the NFL for coaches to acknowledge a team is rebuilding - unlike baseball or football - but Jackson has done so throughout his tenure.

"My job is to coach the guys that are here, with our football staff and that's what we're going to do,'' he said. "I'm sure that our executive team is scouring everywhere, looking at who could potentially help our football team. That's what they do, so I'm sure that's being done.''
