HSFB Playoffs: Elks downed by turnovers; CJ and Coldwater win at the last second

Chaminade Julienne rallied to beat New Richmond 26-21 to advance to the Division III regional final. A week after shocking Alter in the first round, the Eagles scored with 47 seconds left on a 5-yard touchdown run by Ryan Peltier.

Markell Stephens-Peppers threw four touchdowns and Ra'veion Hargrove rushed for 93 yards as Trotwood rolled over Dunbar and into the Division III regional final with a 62-26 win.

Sidney lost 41-6 to three-time defending state champ Cincinnati LaSalle in a Division III regional semi.

In Division IV, Clinton Massie held off previously unbeaten Valley View thanks to some unlikely offensive heroes.

Madison scored 28 unanswered points in the second half to beat CHCA in the Division V regional semi.

Division III, Region 11

Tri-Valley 36, Bellefontaine 30, OT: Dezmin LyBurtus had three rushing touchdowns, including a go-ahead score with 1:39 to play, but Tri-Valley hit a game-tying field goal with five seconds left and then held Bellefontaine scoreless in overtime for the victory. Bellefontaine closes the season at 10-2.

Division IV, Region 14

Shelby 47, St. Marys Memorial 7: Shelby built up a 20-7 lead at the half then held St. Marys scoreless the rest of the way. St. Marys finished at 10-2.

Division VI, Region 24

Coldwater 24, Lima Central Catholic 17: Trailing 17-10 with under a minute to play, Coldwater (9-3) scored two touchdowns in a span of 15 seconds to cap off a remarkable rally. Ben Wenning tied the game with a rushing TD. Then Coldwater recovered a fumble on the kickoff and Will and Sam Broering connected on a 33-yard TD pass for the game-winner with 23 seconds to play.

Marion Local 35, Spencerville 0: Unbeaten ML carried a 21-0 lead into the half then held on for the victory. Marion Local moves to 12-0 and will face a familiar foe in Coldwater on Friday for the regional final. Local beat Coldwater 13-7 in the regular season.

Division VII, Region 28

Minster 35, Crestview 32: Jared Huelsman scampered for an eight yard TD run late in the fourth quarter and then Minster held strong on a goal line stand to pull off the win in a back-and-forth game. Minster (8-4) will meet conference rival Delphos St. John's on Friday with a regional title on the line. Minster won that matchup 41-14 in the regular season.

Delphos St. John's 14, Lehman Catholic 7: Elliott Gilardi had a rushing TD to cut the deficit to one score but Lehman couldn't complete the rally. LC finishes at 10-2; DSJ improves to 8-4.
