Area high school basketball highlights for Feb. 12


Boys Basketball

Xenia 76, Tecumseh 71: Tecumseh shot 15-of-16 from the free throw line, but couldn’t catch Xenia, which had as 23-10 run in the first quarter.

Cody Phillippi and Dominique Tucker each scored 20 for Xenia (8-13). David Roberts had 15 points, 11 rebounds. All three seniors were playing their last home game.

Gabe Winans led Tecumseh (17-4) with 21. Dalton Davis had 19 while Josiah McFarland had 10.

Urbana 63, Sidney 55: Tristan Singer led Urbana with 25. Nathan Mays and Dillion Knueven each had 14.

Tyree Manley had 14 for Sidney. Connor Echols had 12.

Shawnee 60, Catholic Central 33: Jaden Greenwood had 15 for Shawnee. Jaelin Williams scored 14 while Andrew Young scored 10.

Will Johnson led Catholic Central (3-16) with 16.

Girls Basketball

Greenon 46, Arcanum 27: Heather Slaugther led Greenon (16-6) with 15. The Knights were 11-of-14 from the free throw line.
