Early mock draft has Bengals, Browns making similar early picks

After an epic finish to the national championship game, college football season is over.

So naturally it’s time to talk more football.

Although mock drafts — particularly early January mock drafts — should all be taken with a grain of salt, it’s still fun to speculate how things might shake out, right?

You can click here to check out the whole thing, but here are the highlights you're probably looking for first:

•With the first pick, they have the Browns taking Texas A&M pass rusher Myles Garrett.

•At five, Ohio State safety Malik Hooker goes to the Titans.

•At nine, the Bengals go defensive line with Solomon Thomas of Stanford.

•The Browns use Philadelphia’s pick at No. 12 to snag former Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer (two picks after Deshaun Watson of Clemson ends up with the Bills).

•At 24, Marshon Lattimore (who hasn’t actually declared for the draft yet) goes to Oakland with fellow Buckeye Raekwon McMillan landing in Kansas City with the 30th pick (the draft order at the end is still TDB by the rest of the playoffs).

There figure to be plenty of twists and turns between now and the draft, but we’ve got to start somewhere, right?
