‘Hillbilly Elegy’ author, others coming to Springfield for Witt Series

Dragons pull away in the 12th


Joe Hudson’s two-run double in the top of the 12th gave the Dayton Dragons a 4-2 win over the Great Lakes Loons on Thursday night.

Daniel Pigott and Tanner Rahier hit back-to-back doubles with two outs in the top of the ninth to tie the game, 1-1, and force extra innings.

Phil Ervin launched a solo home run in the top of the 11th, but an unearned run in the bottom of the inning tied it.
