Dayton Flyers recruit becomes school’s all-time leading scorer

McKinley Wright scored 22 points in victory Tuesday

McKinley Wright, one of the four players in Dayton’s 2017 recruiting class, became Champlin Park (Minn.) High School’s all-time leading scorer Tuesday.

Wright, a 6-foot point guard, scored 22 points in a victory over Elk River. With his 1,392nd point, he passed Champlin Park alum J.T. Gibson.

Wright is the second UD recruit in the class of 2017 to set his school's scoring record this month. Jordan Davis, of Irmo, S.C., became Dutch Fork's all-time leader on Jan. 3.
