Dayton Flyers guard Charles Cooke won’t play Friday

Team’s leading scorer out with wrist injury

Senior guard Charles Cooke won’t play for the Dayton Flyers on Friday night against Virginia Military Institute at UD Arena.

Cooke will sit out the game with a wrist injury. Sitting him out is believed to a precautionary move because Dayton (8-3) should be able to beat the Keydets (3-7) without him, and they get a week off after this game before playing La Salle at 7 p.m. Dec. 30 at UD Arena.
