Cozart has shrinking but still sizable lead in All-Star voting

With fewer than four days remaining in voting for the All-Star Game, the Cincinnati Reds’ Zack Cozart leads National League shortstops with 1,915,806 votes.

Cozart has been on the disabled list since June 19 with a strained right quad. His lead over Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager shrunk from 321,560 to 258,074 in the last week.

ROSTER MOVES: Finnegan returns from DL

Cozart is seeking to become a first-time All-Star, the first Red to start since Todd Frazier in 2015 and the first Reds shortstop to start since Barry Larkin in 2000.

McCOY: Nats blast Bailey in return

The Reds’ Joey Votto ranks fifth among first basemen (703,832). Adam Duvall ranks 10th among outfielders (664,379).

Voting ends at 11:59 Thursday. The rosters will be announced at 7 p.m. July 2 on ESPN.
