Coveted quarterback reiterates plan to enroll early at Ohio State

Ohio State lost a talented receiver recruit this week, but that won’t affect the Buckeyes and their prize quarterback of this recruiting cycle.

Tate Martell, a four-star quarterback from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman whose playing style reminds some of Johnny Manziel, confirmed via Twitter he still plans to enroll at Ohio State this semester.

That followed the surprise decommitment of his high school teammate, Tyjon Lindsey, a four-star slot receiver.

Bishop Gorman defensive tackle Haskell Garrett is also a verbal member of Urban Meyer’s 2017 recruiting class.

Garrett told LandOf10.com earlier this week he is firmly committed to the Buckeyes.
