Court case continued for Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones' court case stemming from his Jan. 3 arrest has been continued, according to the Associated Press.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for May 16.

Jones faces three misdemeanor charges, including assault, after Cincinnati police said he pushed a hotel security guard and poked him in the eye before kicking and head-butting officers who were trying to put him in a squad car.

Video from inside the car shows Jones cursing at an officer and saying "I hope you die tomorrow."

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters later dropped a felony charge of harassment with a bodily substance after Jones allegedly spit on a jail nurse.

Jones, who has a history of off-field incidents and arrests, also could be subject to discipline from the NFL under the personal conduct policy.
