Oklahoma State wide receiver James Washington is the winner of the 2017 Fred Biletnikoff Award, announced at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta on Thursday.

The award recognizes the best wide receiver in college football, and Washington has certainly been that. The senior has averaged 20.6 yards per catch and 118 receiving yards per game in the 2017 season to go along with 12 touchdowns.

He formed a dynamic duo with quarterback Mason Rudolph that sent shivers up the spines of every cornerback he went up against, and earned a First-Team All-Big 12 bid for his performance.

Washington beat out Michael Gallup of Colorado State and fellow Big 12 member David Sills, V, of West Virginia for the award. He is the second Oklahoma State Cowboys player to win the Biletnikoff. Justin Blackmon won it two years in a row in 2010 and 2011.

Earlier today, Washington was named a Walter Camp First-Team All-American.
