About Dayton: The Flyers need a win or a loss by Charlotte, Richmond or St. Bonaventure to make the A-10 tourney. They’ve qualified every year since the league expanded to 14 teams and began limiting the field to 12 teams in 2005-06. … They’re first in the A-10 in field-goal shooting (47.1 percent) and 3-point percentage (38.4) and are fourth in foul shooting (72.0) and rebound margin (plus-4.2). … Dillard is shooting 89.4 percent on free throws, 93.2 in conference games. … The Flyers have an RPI of 101, but they’re 64th in the Sagarin ratings and 55th (the fifth-highest rated A-10 team) in ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, which factors in point differentials and even missing players.

About GW: Despite shooting 55 percent from the field and getting a double-double from Armwood, his eighth of the year, the Colonials dropped an 84-70 decision at La Salle on Wednesday. They’ve lost four straight games and six of their last seven. … They’re third in the league in rebound margin (plus 4.2) and blocks per game (5.0). … Armwood is second in the A-10 in rebounding (8.6). … They start four freshmen, but senior guard Lasan Kromah averages 10.0 points off the bench. … Coach Mike Lonergan is going for his 400th career win. He previously coached at Catholic University and Vermont.

Miller time: “GW’s improved. They’re very, very big. They’re a great defensive rebounding team. They mix up their defenses from 1-3-1 to 2-3 to man. They keep you off balance. Being able to function on the road against changing defenses is something we’re going to have to do,” UD coach Archie Miller said.
