Cincinnati Bengals in prime time part of NFL Week 16 schedule

The NFL season stops for nothing, not even Christmas.

The playoff picture is taking shape in each league, but there is still a lot to play for.

Here is what you need to know to get ready for the week.

1. The football starts Thursday night (duh) with the Eagles hosting the Giants.

New York clinches a postseason berth with a win.

Eli Manning, Odell Beckham Jr. and crew would also remain alive in the NFC East race if Dallas loses.

2. The Bengals play Saturday night at Houston.

Unlike Cincinnati, the Texans have something to play for beyond pride.

They can clinch a division title with a win and a loss by the Titans, who play at Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon.

This game is set for an 8:25 kickoff on NFL Network.

3. The Browns’ last best chance for a win comes in Cleveland against San Diego.

The 5-9 Chargers have lost three in a row, and they look much more beatable than Cleveland’s Week 17 opponent: Pittsburgh.

4. Speaking of the Steelers, they play Baltimore on Sunday.

The Ravens travel to the Steel City for the first of two games on Christmas Day, and this one could decide the AFC North.

Pittsburgh wins the division with a victory, but the Ravens control their own destiny. They’ll claim the title if they win this week and beat the Bengals in the season finale.

5. The Sunday night game has some juice, too.

The Chiefs can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Denver.

The Broncos are still alive for a wild card but need some help, namely a Dolphins loss.

Miami clinches a playoff spot with a win over the Bills and a Denver loss.

6. Detroit and Dallas wrap the weekend on Monday night.

Getting sick of the Cowboys on national TV yet? Too bad. They might be set up for a long run of success with rookie Pro Bowlers Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield.

Dallas clinches a division title, home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and a first-round bye with a win or a Giants loss.

The Lions win the NFC North if they down Dallas and the Packers lose to the Vikings on Saturday afternoon.

Green Bay still controls its own destiny in the division, too, since the Packers are set to host the Lions in Week 17.
