In the latest reminder there is more to sports than wins and losses, Cincinnati Bengals fans are opening their hearts — and wallets — for the foundation of an opposing team’s quarterback.

The Blake Bortles Foundation reportedly has collected close to $5,000 from Bengals fans who heeded Cincinnati radio host Mo Egger’s calls to give to the Jaguars quarterback’s foundation over the weekend.

The move comes a couple of weeks after fans of the Buffalo Bills spontaneously began donating money to Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton’s charity after Dalton’s late game-winning touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd at Baltimore in Week 17 put Buffalo in the playoffs ahead of the Ravens.

Bortles and the Jaguars stunned the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday to earn a spot in the AFC Championship Game, where they will face defending Super Bowl champion New England.
