Reds’ Billy Hamilton joins elite base-stealing club

Billy Hamilton went 2-for-5 and delivered an insurance run in the Reds’ 2-1 win over the Cubs on Tuesday, but it was his stolen base that marked a milestone.

Hamilton swiped his 50th bag of the season. It was his sixth steal in seven games, his fourth consecutive season stealing 50 bases.

He’s the 25th player in the modern era to steal 50-plus bases in four seasons.
