Bengals promote two from practice squad

The Cincinnati Bengals have filled their two vacancies on the 53-man roster by promoting wide receiver Jake Kumerow and linebacker Trevor Roach from the practice squad.

The two openings were a result of tight end Tyler Eifert and left guard Clint Boling going on season-ending Injured Reserve on Monday.

Roach is a first-year player who began the season on the 53-man roster, playing in the first three games of the season. He was moved to the practice squad when linebacker Vontaze Burfict returned from his three-game suspension. Roach spent the 2015 season on the practice squad before making his NFL debut in the wild-card playoff game against Pittsburgh, where he had one tackle on special teams.

Kumerow is a first-year player who spent the 2015 season and all of this season on the practice squad. He appeared in three preseason games this year with four catches for 67 yards.
