Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap picked to replace Clowney at Pro Bowl

Carlos Dunlap has been named to his second Pro Bowl.

The Bengals defensive end was chosen Tuesday as a replacement for the Texans Jadeveon Clowney, who is out because of an injury.

Dunlap, who had eight sacks and led the Bengals with three forced fumbles in 2016, led the team in passes defended (15), something no defensive lineman had ever done.

“Being a two-time Pro Bowler is something I would love to have next to my name, so I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity too easily,” he said in December when he was chosen as a second alternate. “I would love to pass it up for a Super Bowl.”

Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins and receiver A.J. Green have also been named to the Pro Bowl, though Green won’t play because of a hamstring injury.

The Pro Bowl is scheduled for Jan. 29 in Orlando, Fla.
