Dunlap, who had eight sacks and led the Bengals with three forced fumbles in 2016, led the team in passes defended (15), something no defensive lineman had ever done.
“Being a two-time Pro Bowler is something I would love to have next to my name, so I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity too easily,” he said in December when he was chosen as a second alternate. “I would love to pass it up for a Super Bowl.”
Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins and receiver A.J. Green have also been named to the Pro Bowl, though Green won’t play because of a hamstring injury.
The Pro Bowl is scheduled for Jan. 29 in Orlando, Fla.
