Former Dayton Flyers pitcher Hauschild a Triple-A All-Star

Former Dayton Flyers pitcher and Beavercreek High School graduate Mike Hauschild was named to the Pacific Coast League’s team for the Triple-A All-Star Game on Thursday.

Hauschild, 26, was a 33rd-round pick in 2012. He is 5-7 with a 3.02 ERA in 14 starts for the Fresno Grizzlies, an affiliate of the Houston Astros. He has 65 strikeouts and 18 walks in 85 1/3 innings.

In his last four starts, Hauschild has allowed two earned runs in 26 innings.

The Pacific Coast League will play the International League at 7 p.m. July 13 at the the Charlotte Knights’ BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, N.C. The Pacific Coast League’s 30-man roster features 21 players, like Hauschild, who have yet to make their big-league debuts.
