J.T. Barrett named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

Ohio State overtime hero J.T. Barrett has been named co-Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week.

The junior quarterback (and the Buckeye offense as a whole) had a shaky start Saturday night at Wisconsin, but he ended up with 318 total yards and a game-winning touchdown pass to Noah Brown in overtime.

Barrett also passed Wayne graduate Braxton Miller to become Ohio State’s all-time leader in touchdowns responsible for with 89.

The Texas native has been named Big Ten OPOW six times in his career.

He shared this one with Northwestern running back Justin Jackson, who ran for 188 yards as the Wildcats beat Michigan State.

Wisconsin linebacker Jack Cichy was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after loggin 15 tackles, including 3.5 for loss.
