2018 guard visits Dayton; Seton Hall up next

Anthony Nelson is a 6-4 guard from Harlem

The Dayton Flyers, who landed a top-100 recruit in the class of 2018 earlier this month, had another high school senior on campus last weekend.

Anthony Nelson, a 6-foot-4 guard from Harlem, N.Y., who attends the South Kent Preparatory School (Conn.), took his first official visit to UD, according to Adam Zagoria, of ZagsBlog.com, and will visit Seton Hall and Clemson in the coming weeks.

“Their message to me was that they want me to come in and be a playmaker, make everyone around me better,” Nelson told Zagoria.

Nelson narrowed his choices to five schools on Sept. 14: Dayton, Seton Hall, Clemson, West Virginia and Minnesota.

Dayton filled one 2018 scholarship when guard Dwayne Cohill announced his verbal commitment. Dayton will have one more scholarship open if suspended forward Sam Miller doesn't return to the program.
