Weathers flawless, Dragons not in loss
Burlington scores seven runs in fourth; Weathers expects to come off DL Monday.

DAYTON — For the second straight night, things worked out well for David Weathers.
They didn't work out as well for the Dayton Dragons on a chilly Saturday night, May 3, at Fifth Third Field.
Extras
A seven-run fourth — five unearned after an error began the inning — led to a 10-7 Burlington victory, leaving three-hit Dragons Todd Frazier and Kevyn Feiner with a nice line in the box score but little else.
Each collected a double and two singles, expected from top prospect Frazier, but not so much from Feiner, who began the season 2-for-19 (.105), and might have been locked out of Saturday's game.
"I just made a couple of adjustments at the plate with (batting coach Darren) Bragg," said Feiner, who has gone 19-for-42 (.452) since April 13. "It's almost a mental thing, to be saying, 'I'll get the job done.' "
Feiner doubled in the second and scored a run, singled to drive in a run in the third and singled, stole a base and scored a run in the seventh.
For awhile, Feiner might have wondered if he'd get back to the clubhouse to get his gear. It had been raining, and after Feiner finished his work at the indoor batting cage, Bragg asked him to look outside to see if the rain had stopped.
Feiner did, but the door closed behind him and locked. He found another door, walked to the second deck, then found another stairway to the clubhouse two stories down.
Even with his hot streak, Feiner has been rested every few days, mostly to get other players in the lineup.
"He's going to get to play because he's hitting," Dragons manager Donnie Scott said. "But I want to get everybody else involved, too. I'm trying to mix and match as best I can."
Everything seemed to be going well until the fourth, when Luis Montano — the hottest pitcher on the staff — couldn't make it out of the inning. Sure, the error by third baseman Brandon Waring didn't help, but Scott pointed out there were seven Bees hits after the error.
Weathers, the Reds rehabbing reliever, followed his one-inning Friday night workout with a 12-pitch, 3-out sequel, pitching the sixth inning. He said his arm felt great and he expects to come off the disabled list Monday.
Dragons tales: Weathers, who had steak dinners delivered to the Dragons following Friday's game — not an unusual kindness for rehabbing pitchers — was told by Scott he didn't have to do that a second night.
But Weathers thought he had to do something, so he bought the team boxed sub dinners prior to the game ... In addition to Feiner, Keltavious Jones is also in the midst of a hot streak. Jones had only one hit in five at-bats (a two-run single), but is hitting .333, which is what he is hitting over his last two games
(3-for-9).
