Dragons earn a doubleheader split

GENEVA, Ill. — Denis Phipps drove in three runs, and Angel Cabrera reached base in all four plate appearances as the Dayton Dragons defeated the Kane County Cougars 7-5 to earn a split of their doubleheader on Saturday, April 26. The Cougars won game one 7-1.
In the nightcap, Dayton opened a 7-0 lead over the first two innings, but Kane County scored five runs in the fourth inning to pull within two. The Cougars then had the tying run on base in each of the final two innings but could not score.
