UD-bound aces could battle in tournament

It'll be one of the most intriguing matchups in the sectional baseball tournament this week, possibly matching future University of Dayton teammates.
Springboro High School claimed the No. 2 seed in the Division I Dayton tournament and hosts sixth-seeded Beavercreek at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 14.

The Beavers boast UD-bound pitcher Mike Hauschild. Among the Panthers' aces is UD-bound fireballer Chuck Ghysels.
"No question, we're going to have to rise to the occasion out of the chute," said Springboro coach Mark Pelfrey, who has guided his team to a 22-4 record and the Greater Western Ohio Conference South Division title.
