Greeneview's Furman breaks own mark

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Greeneview sophomore set a school record in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, nine inches as the Rams' girls team won the Miami Trace Invitational.

It was the squad's ninth meet win of the season.

Furman broke the old record of 16-5¾ she set earlier this season. She also finished second in the 100 (13.13 seconds).

Senior Emily Folino doubled in both hurdles races, winning the 100 hurdles in 16.29 and the 300 hurdles in 49.16.

Jen Talbott won the 800 in 2:28.39. Emma Randall won the discus with a toss of 108 feet.

For the boys team, the Rams' Matthew Ireland won the 3,200 (10:31.24), while Sam LeMaster won the discus (148-10) and finished second in the shot put (49-11¼).
