Flyers pitcher chips in with bat in victory

TOLEDO — The University of Dayton rallied from an early two-run deficit to defeat Toledo, 3-2 in a nonconference baseball matchup on Tuesday, May 6.
The win lifts the Flyers' record to 28-20.

Starting pitcher Jake Hoover scattered nine hits over 72/3 innings, allowing two runs and striking out three. He also doubled and scored a run in the third inning.
Senior Kevin Miller finished 2-for-4 with a run scored to post the only multi-hit effort for the Flyers.
