UMass beats UD on baseball diamond

AMHERST, Mass. — Dayton could not benefit from its second consecutive complete-game pitching performance as the Flyers fell to the University of Massachusetts, 3-1 in Atlantic 10 baseball action on Saturday afternoon, May 3.
Junior Quinn Haselhorst gave up only three runs on six hits while striking out eight batters in the complete-game effort.

With the loss, UD falls to 27-19 overall and 10-10 in A-10 action heading into today's deciding game of the series.
