What is the obsession with being allowed to carry guns in bars? I truly think the Republicans have gone off the deep end of reality. Buy a six-pack and go home with friends and stay safe and away from drunks who can carry but are not allowed to use those Glocks.

Anyone who thinks someone is going to carry a gun in a bar and drink a Coke because he is not allowed to drink alcohol has left me speechless and laughing on that one.

Last call for alcohol. Maybe that guy doesn’t want last call. That gun just might be feeling pretty good around 2:30 a.m.

I can’t believe that our state government and governor are allowing guns in bars. Guns and liquor never did mix and never will. I am a lover of guns and a gun collector. They are just asking for trouble even if they have a permit.

Guns in bars? Looks like we are going back to the Wild West. History repeats itself.

Re the grad picture comment: It is easy to dress up a few students at Emmanuel or Catholic Central because of the size of the class and all their parents have money. At a graduating class of over 200, a lot of the parents don’t even have jobs, let alone have the money to buy dress clothes.

It is petty to think about the clothing kids were wearing in the Grad section.

Why are so many law enforcement officers overweight? It is not good for them. Can we put them on a diet and program?

Let the people who use the trails pay to use them.

Why does a city of 62,000 people need three public golf courses funded by half a town that never plays golf?

Thanks to all the nurses and staff on Springfield Regional Medical Center 4 South for your compassion. You did a fine job taking care of my father.

I love the article about illegal disability.
