There ought to be a law against skateboarders riding down the middle of Mitchell Blvd. when perfectly good sidewalks are available. It’s a tragedy waiting to happen. And now that I think about it, there ought to be a law against mobs of teenagers walking down the middle of city streets, causing people to have to almost come to a complete stop before taking their good old time moving out of your way. Or someone enforcing those laws.

Local cinemas don’t seem to have been updated in ages.

Not all disabilities are physical. Don’t judge someone until you have been in their shoes.

Our state senators are voting on a new policy that all new lawmakers take a pay cut. What about the ones already in office? Our lawmakers are all a joke, Democrats and Republicans.(Editor’s note: Ohio’s constitution doesn’t allow lawmakers to change their salaries during their current term of office.)

Now the Republicans are going to start “fracking” the state parks. What is it about Mother Nature that they hate so much? They’re determined to destroy the environment, always opposing clean energy, supporting the oil companies and opposing all clean-air and water regulations.

Every day, something else is revealed in the governor’s budget. Wonder what is he hiding in it. Deception, deception, deception.

The Republican David Vitter was not asked to retire. You know, that family-values man who actually did what Anthony Weiner only thought about.

Violent protests against a U.S. government austerity plan will hit stocks and send the dollar falling against foreign currencies.
