Selling beer at the Clark County Fair? Are you kidding?
Let’s make the fairgrounds one giant beer garden and send the profits to the juvenile court system for the forgotten youths.
Thank you, Ohio Edison. Three times my street light burnt out in three years. And every time I called, it was fixed quickly. Thank you.
Since we are going to get 33,000 of our troops returned home, we can use them to protect us from the invaders from our Southern border. This is not a police action, but a military one. We are being invaded.
Last night a man walked into a bar in Dayton and robbed the place with a gun. I’ll bet those patrons forced at gunpoint into the back room felt comforted that there was a law protecting them from people carrying guns in bars. I know I sure am glad there is a law to protect me against guns in bars for the next few months.
A vast majority of those with conceal/carry permits do not carry their weapons into bars. A majority of them do not frequent bars at all. And what kind of bars are we talking about? Sports bars? Family/neighborhood bars? Or a “down and dirty” bar? A majority of those commenting against conceal/carry do not go into bars, nor do they own guns.
First, I would like to ask a question from our concerned writers. How many of these people actually will ever go to a bar? Why do they care? I have had a license for three years, not once have I had to pull my gun for any reason. But it is nice to know I have protection if I need it. I don’t plan on going into a bar with my gun, but it would sure be nice to stop at a restaurant.
I am glad seepex Inc. is staying here, but a 10-year tax abatement? Companies know how to pull the purse string. If they can’t get it here, they will go there. They know how to work the system. It’s corporate welfare. What happens after 10 years ...?
For the second time in recent history, this newspaper has chosen to advance its far left-wing agenda with another biased, one-sided viewpoint on the perceived need for Springfield to have an ordinance promoting — oh, I mean “protecting” — the homosexual lifestyle. What about the supposed “new” balanced viewpoint of the editorial page? Yeah, right! I hope the mayor and commission members have enjoyed their jobs.
Enough already. It was a tragedy that happened on Jan. 1, but reading about it every day won’t bring Deputy (Suzanne) Hopper back. Let it go, Gene Kelly.
Enough is enough on Deputy Hopper in the paper. Let the woman rest in peace. You never see this kind of publicity for an American soldier killed in action, defending our freedom — even from our community. Give it a rest.
