During the George W. Bush, John Kasich, Bob Taft (BKT) years, 1999-2007, Taft signed major tax reform, including elimination of the corporate franchise tax over five years, and the elimination of the personal tangible property tax over four years. In 2003 he signed the largest tax increase in Ohio history. From 1999 to 2007, Ohio lost 236,000 manufacturing jobs, or 23 percent of the manufacturing positions previously held in the state. As a result of the BKT initiatives, an additional 300,000 jobs left Ohio. Yeah, vote Kasich.
