Northeastern school district would like to replace all the buildings because they have not been maintained properly. Will the new buildings be maintained properly? Regardless of where the money comes from, whether state or local, it’s still from the taxpayer.

Vote for Issue 13. New schools will help end ignorance in our society.

Re Issue 3: How many of the new jobs will be temporary construction work? How many casino jobs will be part-time with no benefits?

GM is moving hundreds of jobs from Ohio to Marion, Ind. This will enable Ohio to continue to be among the highest unemployed states in the country. Yet we have the opportunity to create 34,000 jobs with the passage of of Issue 3.

Worst-case scenario, all 38,000 jobs created by the casinos are filled by non-Ohioans ... who move to Ohio, buy Ohio homes, pay Ohio taxes and replace some of the 200,000 unemployeed Ohioans who have left Ohio. Even Homer Simpson could understand this.

Farmers have been farming for years and know better than anyone how to farm. We do not need goverment to suddenly tell them how to farm and end up raising the price of food. Vote yes on Issue 2.

Re Issue 2: Why would the Humane Society of the United States, supposedly, appropriate $10,000,000 to defeat Issue 2? What is its real agenda?

The children who will work tomorrow to support Social Security and Medicare will be educated today in sub-standard facilities. Remember you get what you pay for. Please remember this when you take out more than you in.

Didn't the Lottery fiasco teach us anything? Remember how the Lottery was going to solve all the funding problems? Now some out-of-state companies are telling you that by giving them a state-protected MONOPOLY on Casinos will solve all our job woes.

How about some *real* remedies instead of the magic beans all these shysters try to sell us? Attract real jobs, with benefits and futures. Not the no-benefits, illegal alien labor and criminal activity that these casinos will bring.

The buildings in the Northeastern Local School District have been maintained properly. We cannot continue to put band-aids on the problems that exist. In addition, the current buildings are unable to support the technology needed to provide these children with the skills necessary to compete in the future job market. There was an extensive study that determined that it is cheaper to construct new buildings than update and remodel the ones we have now. Please support our children, the future.

Perhaps they have included the illegal activities generated by the gambling atmosphere when counting 'jobs' such as illegal drug sales, prostitution, thefts, etc...those are some of the jobs waiting to be committed!

There is no 38,000 jobs. There are 800 to 1000 jobs per casino and they will build 4. That's 3,800 jobs. Even Homer Simpson can understand that.
