A local organization in town is collecting items to send to the troops. Explain to me why our troops need some of the basic necessities? I read about millions of dollars being wasted. This is shameful.

I am sick and tired of having to be politically correct. It is what it is.

Before raising prices on the newspaper, please make your print bigger.

I had to go to the board of elections because I changed my address to vote. Voted there as absentee at the same time. One hour later, board office phoned me at home and said I didn’t do the second page of the ballot. Someone screwed up.

Nice article about Clark County auditor. When I tried the Web site, page came up telling me there was problem with site’s security certificate — so I didn’t go there. Sounds like more than a glitch in the computer system.

The “opt out” public option makes no sense and no one knows how a state opts out anyway. Those that do will still have its residents paying for all the states that stay in anyway. We need an explanation. This whole health reform is a joke.

How nice that Montgomery County people came to Clark County to get their H1N1 shot and cheated some Clark County residents out of theirs. That’s wrong.

Parents who are not getting their children H1N1 vaccine because they think it is all hysteria, the doctor did not suggest it, or they are just plain stubborn or lazy are gambling with their children’s lives.

A school is for learning. Renaming the school for an athlete (boxer) is ridiculous. It’s already named for an educator, as it should be. Isn’t the park enough?

To the person in the pickup truck who hit my car in Kroger’s parking lot on Main Street this past Sunday night: Thanks a lot, genius. I hope it doesn’t happen to you.

Re “Someone who has tattoos is sleazy and dirty.” How dare someone make an assumption that all people with tattoos are sleazy and dirty. I am a well-rounded women who has a full time office job as well as a mother of one and a wife and I have four tattoos. My tattoos are
all able to be covered and they all mean something special to me.

My husband has 13 well-done tattoos, and he isn’t dirty or sleazy. He has advanced as a certified driver trainer for a local trucking company. Next time you may want to think before you comment.

The new gun laws are
working — it’s the intruders getting shot instead of the residents.

To the person or persons who hit my golden retriever early Sunday morning, November 1st, on Villa Road, near Red Coach. Why didn't you stop? She had tags, a name, and a phone number!

And, to the young women who did stop and helped me to get her back home...thank you and God Bless. You are an angel and my heart will forever be grateful for you!

They seem to be presenting mixed messages about the flu. They did say stay home with symptoms and now (after a death) go to the doctor. Which is it? and why didn't they keep the young woman if they believed her to be at risk? Did not the
'bronchitis' constitute a compromised immune system?

If a guy looks like Johnny Depp a tasteful tattoo or two probably is ok. Otherwise, leave 'ugly enough already' alone!

Calling parents lazy or other negative things because they choose not to have their children get the H1N1 vaccine is not fair. One could argue that you are also gambling with your child's life by GIVING them the vaccine. FACT: Some of the H1N1 vaccines have Thimerosal (which has mercury) Mercury has been linked to autism. FACT: People have died from H1N1......We can go back and fourth with this. People need to research and make an educated decision for themselves. That is the beauty of freedom
