Senior citizens and AARP members need to know that the AARP board has voted to support the Physicians Fairness Act, which is a proposal included in one of the Senate health care reform bills. The proposal will allow larger Medicare payments to doctors. As a result, Medicare premiums and out-of-pocket costs will increase. Contact representatives and senators in Washington and ask them to vote “no” on this proposal. Health care reform is about affordable insurance for all.

Why don’t you have a chat room on the Web site instead of the blogs?

There are people who want to turn over the health care system to the government. They can’t even come up with enough flu vaccine.

If I want insurance, my husband and I will have to get divorced. I will no longer be covered under his open enrollment because of pre-existing conditions. I guess I’ll have to go on some type of public assistance.

Where was the coverage on Kenton Ridge girls soccer tournament games against Troy Christian and Botkins? Oh wait — we forgot, it’s not Springfield High School.

President Obama said to judge him by those who surround him and he surrounds himself with Marxists and tax cheats out to destroy this country. Therefore, I believe I can judge the president in the same light. He is out to destroy this country.

Do all veterinarians charge $30 for an exam? The one I’ve been going to does and then charges $20 if I have to bring them back for a follow-up. My own co-pay to my doctor is less than that.

Let’s call it as it is. We don’t have fast-food joints anymore. A better description would be “fat-food joints.”

If health care prices continue to climb at unprecedented rates, we will all see our premiums triple, just as the township employees have.

How can all the restaurants be full if we are having trouble with the economy?

$30 for a vet visit and $20 for a follow up is a bargin! To complain that it's higher than your Dr.s co-pay makes no sense. Your co-pay at the Dr is just that CO-pay, as in someone else (the insurance company or govt program) is paying the other portion which is usually 70-200 dollars. Your $30 for the vet visit is the ONLY money the vet is getting for that time. There is no insurance company paying them another portion to cover your visit.

Being from the area, I must say I was looking forward to seeing the property in the front of Nextedge Industrial Park after it was all finished. The stone wall, pathways and ponds were going to be a highlight for sure, but the unkept, uncut and seemingly abandoned landscaping is a disappointment to say the least.

I agree with the soccer comment. I love football, but more and more kids are playing soccer and my girls play on a select team as well as indoor teams getting ready to play for KR in a few years. I hope by then the paper starts covering it more because it will be amazing!!!!!
