Americans are so gullible. President Obama and Congress said their No. 1 focus is jobs and they are going to focus on it like a laser. Well, guess what, we are having this summit on health care because that is the Democrats main focus, it isn’t jobs. Why don’t they have a huge summit on jobs instead?

Watching the health care summit and President Obama’s reaction to the facts put forth by the Republicans told me that the president and the Democrats intend to force this legislation through, regardless of what the American people think of it.

Why didn’t President Obama have this meeting before they started the debate on health care last year? Instead, they decided to do everything behind closed doors and make the deals for votes. They may have come up with the best ideas behind those closed doors, but people don’t trust them because of it. Too bad Obama didn’t do what he preached during his campaign: transparency.

Government medicine: You are going to love it. I live in England and I have a friend who lives in the U.S. and needs hip replacement surgery. Do you know when his free surgery is? Never.

In England, you have an option: If you want to pay privately, you can do that. In the U.S., you don’t have the choice.

It would be cheaper and more effective if the government built, staffed and operated clinics for the poor directly.

Leonard Pitts, Jr.’s commentary was about Sarah Palin’s lack of intellect, not her race or gender. She thinks pre-emptive war on Iran would be a great political move for President Obama and doesn’t see any conflict in criticizing him for using a Teleprompter when she resorts to crib notes scribbled on her palm. That’s scary.

Honestly, if you have outside dogs, you need to get them spayed or neutered. The animal shelters are packed and it’s not in the animals’ best interest to have puppies where there is no home for them. Please care for your animals.

End all war.

Since we’re sending our accountants to Cincinnati, and our prescriptions for our insurance have to be filled in Cincinnati, why don’t we just call the new hospital Cincinnati North?

Next time, give the students a month’s notice for your “random” inspection. They’ll have time to even remove the residue from the drugs.
