Pet owners need to stop dumping unwanted animals at the reservoir. You are only feeding the coyotes. Few of the animals ever find homes.

I know there are a lot of cats on Maplewood, but that doesn’t give anyone a reason to pick them up and throw them or kick them.

Why do residents have to listen to barking dogs while the owners are gone for the weekend? Where is the respect for the neighbors? Where is the law?

There is the simplest of solution to pet overpopulation. Dispose of them yourself. Pet disposal is pet care.

To the people who walk their dogs — please pick up after your animals.

Please don’t allow a mere handful of elitist puzzlers to spoil the sport for us common people. Your product should appeal to the masses.

Don’t people have anything else to worry about other than the crossword puzzle in the paper?

Dear Editor Steve Sidlo: Could you please give us an explanation regarding the crossword puzzle? It is not intellectual at all. The only thing I can think of is that since it is in the Entertainment section and Andrew McGinn is in charge of that, it must be McGinn’s revenge.

Dr. Howard Ingling: A medical doctor who also raised a few sheep and helped us neighborhood kids raise them, too. What a great neighbor.

Re Urbana City Council: Every county should freeze spending and all county and city officials should live on minimum wage.

The Urbana City Council, the mayor and her staff are all overpaid. If they need more help in Urbana, they should ask for volunteers. We cannot afford these people.

What is green and sleeps two? Watch for the street department trucks in the city of Urbana.

Too many small business owners are falling by the wayside. Buy local and support your local business people.

I am a 61-year-old grandmother who attended Springfield High School graduation. It was one of the best graduations ever.

Please advise the county that the maintenance garage at Bechtle Avenue and Troy Pike has a flag that is totally disrespectful to all. Please replace it.

With the current so-called temporary sales tax being extended 24 months on June 30, it will have been in effect six and a half years without voter approval.

Re the developer building condos in the North end: Enough in the North end. We need some in the East end for the people in South Charleston and South Vienna.

I enjoy the Tidbits for Life on the front of the Life Section.

Stop complaining about mail carriers. Walk a day in their shoes. Get yourself a P.O. box and get your own mail. God bless our mail carriers.

You can walk around the store and shop for hours, but you can’t put the cart back? Put your cart back in the proper place.
