Speak Up for July 4 - National Politics

President Obama crosses all barriers and is doing a great job. And Michelle Obama is an amazing role model in so many ways. Ex-President Bush (Gosh, that has a nice ring to it) was not a smart man. Get over him, diehard Republicans.

I didn’t vote for Barack Obama and I am glad I didn’t.

This is not Barack Obama’s mess, this is George W. Bush’s mess.

As a father of sons around draft age, I thank God for President Obama’s wisdom and diplomacy. Republicans would have us in wars in Korea and Iran, along with Iraq and Afghanistan, and with the military stretched so thin they would have to bring back the draft.

Republicans: How come we have limitless funding for an unnecessary war based on a lie, but health care for all Americans is too expensive?

Social Security: There is no cost-of-living raise in January for the seniors. How about stimulus money for the seniors in the Social Security fund?

All you folks who think Social Security will go broke, think again. Some minor adjustments will be necessary, but you will get yours. Just relax and get on with your life.

Re President Obama being responsible for the economy: He hasn’t been in office long enough for this to be his mess.

Thank you, President Obama, for American Recovery Act dollars given to Interfaith Hospitality, the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, and community-oriented police, which had funding cut off by the past GOP administration.

Fifty million people do not need health insurance, they need health care, which is too expensive for all of us. Eliminating insurance and advertising would cut health care costs in half.

I agree with the person who said impeach Barack Obama. He was supposed to bring the troops home three months after he got in.

The U.S. economy is complicated. Claiming that a single piece of legislation was responsible for the current situation in just political grandstanding.

Isn’t it interesting that the ones who favor more taxes are the same ones with good incomes and cushy jobs like newspaper editors, college professors, and politicians. Who will we tax when there isn’t a middle class anymore?

Doctors, drugs and hospitals cost too much and many people are left out. Mandatory insurance, even if it is free, doesn’t help a bit.

So far, President Obama has managed to disappoint every special interest group that supported him. Who said “There ain’t a dime’s worth of differences between Republicans and Democrats?”

HA! I can't wait to read the reactions from the pro-terrorist, anti-military, pro-unborn baby killing, pro violent thug, pro-gay, pro-"give me something for nothing, because you owe me" crowd. I'll no doubt be denounced as a "Hater" and God, (oops, I shouldn't say God, I might get sued by the ACLU) knows what else! That's ok, our brave military rountinely shed life and limb to secure my FREEDOM OF SPEECH. GOD BLESS THE U.S. MILITARY, AND GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. THE GREATEST COUNTRY...EVER!!

America is the greatest nation on Earth. America has done more for the cause of freedom and liberty than any before it. Whenever there is a crisis, or diaster in the world, it's American generosity that provides food, medicine,shelter,military, and money. Generally far more than others. But without free-market capitalism, that relief would be impossible, but I guess the America haters don't care about that, but they will, if this nation is destroyed because of weak security policies!

Michelle Obama a great role model? HA, that's a laugh! I guess you're right though, if you hate America, "America is a down right mean, dirty country." and "For the first time in my life I'm proud of my county." What, was she never proud of America before? Oh, but how could she be when she's being indoctrinated by radical racists like J. Wright-"U.S.KKK of A." "No no no, not God bless America, Godd**n America." etc. IF YOU HATE THIS COUNTRY THAT MUCH, THAN GET OUT, AND STAY OUT!!

Obama recap: associations with terrorists-khalidi/ayers,and radical racists- Wright/Farakhan, married to an America-hater, pro-abortion, looting the treasury, quadrupling the debt, weak on national security, tax and spend like it's the end of time, appointing tax cheats to his cabinet, promoting a terrorizing flyover in NYC, cap and trade(tax) that will send struggling Americans into a financial tailspin, while enriching folks like Gore, etc. I wonder what the "fallout" will be from "change"?

The reason you think this is all Bush's mess is that you haven't done your research but believe everything you hear in the media or it should be what you don't hear. Like Barney Frank's and others in congress who disregarded Bush's warnings on the housing fiasco. And it is not Bush's trillions of dollars in deficit spending we now have. Bush is gone. Get over blaming him for everything.
