I went down to the Arts Festival to see the “Grateful Dead” concert. I enjoyed the music but was disappointed that the “no smoking beyond this point” was not observed. The city police just walked right by these inconsiderate people and let them smoke. I have an allergy to smoke, so I had to leave. It is a shame that people cannot observe the rules and that the arts people in charge cannot make sure the rules are observed.
Why are so many people quitting the fire department in Pleasant Twp.?
Price of doughnuts in Springfield: As long as it is a Schuler’s doughnut, shut up and pay the price!
This is directed specifically to the thief or thieves who stole the folding camping chairs out of the truck the evening of July 7. These belonged to a man who is seriously ill with cancer and wanted to attend the “Hotel California” concert perhaps for the last time. Mark these words: Your day will come because as we do to others it will be done to us in time. My only regret is that I won’t be there to witness that when it happens.
To Northeastern board members: We care about the children — it’s the future and the community that worries us. With the increase in our taxes, (upon approval of this levy), our future and our community will be in trouble. People who cannot afford this increase will move away and our community will suffer.
The family that had to go to Dayton or Columbus for child diabetes classes: This surprises you? The local hospital has shown no commitment to future pediatrics care whatsoever and won’t have a pediatric wing in the new building. Why? Pediatrics is a money loser and, apparently, kids don’t matter as much as the bottom line.
To the thief who stole the solar lights out of my front yard on July 10. Just so you know, both lights were gifts from my parents. The yellow lily was a memorial to my beloved dog, Luci, that passed away unexpectedly. The butterfly was a birthday gift I had received less than a week before you took it. Please bring them back.
Clark County needs a veterinary clinic open on weekends. It’s ridiculous to have to go to Dayton or Columbus in an emergency
To the person who hit our cat July 11 on New Carlisle Pike. Are you that horrible of a person to not stop and check on him? He has broken legs and pelvis, but apparently you don’t care!
