I was trying to watch a game at Northeastern High School and was forced to move because I was a visitor. Isn’t that discrimination?

I hope Rep. Steve Austria has the good sense to stay away from the ribbon-cutting for the new passenger rail station when it opens, since he voted against the stimulus.

Prison labor. I now know what, after a year and a half of being unemployed, I have to do to find work. If I commit a crime, I can get room and board for free, job training to be employable when I get out, and free medical care while I am there. Sounds like great punishment to me.

When the state was handing out lots of money, our library and branches became multimedia centers. There was overspending and over-expansion of services, facilities and staff. Now money is scarce. The library director and the board will have to make adjustments instead of asking for another levy.

I think President Obama is doing a great job. Keep up the good work, Mr. President.

Please do not be fooled by closet Republicans acting as though they are independents. Nothing could be farther from the truth. After the past eight years, they are just to ashamed to admit their true party affiliations.

Republicans and Republican-leaning independents: Instead of just complaining, please write in and enlighten us all as to whom you think would do a better job than President Obama and Vice President Biden.
