Chilton has proven ability
to get results

My vote for city commission on Nov. 3 will be for Joyce Chilton. Joyce is a person who can express herself intelligently and make wise decisions.

Joyce is a hard worker who has a proven ability to get results. We truly need someone like her to help navigate Springfield through these challenging times.

Joyce Chilton treats everyone very special

I have gone to Joyce Chilton’s home many times over the years and she has treated me very special every time. Over the years I have learned that she treats everyone who comes into contact with her very special.

Joyce has served on the Mental Health Board, the Springfield Mediation Board, Citizen Advisory Review Board, Records Retention Board, been a Sunday school teacher; Member of the Ohio State Bar Association etc... are you starting to get the picture?

Joyce Chilton loves Springfield and has been treating Springfield people very special for years. Joyce is asking for your help and your vote to elect her to the Springfield City Commission.

Chilton will represent everyone in the city

Recently the world held a summit of countries with the top 20 economies to make sure that all were directing their economy and efforts toward fixing the world financial problem. Each countrythat could have a devastating impact on the global economy was invited. In other words, everyone had a seat at the table.

Joyce Chilton is that person who is running for a Springfield City Commission seat, who can represent the jobless, the disenfranchised and those who have not been invited to the table. We need a commissioner who will represent the whole city. Vote for Joyce Chilton on Nov. 3.

Chilton has discipline
 to serve the city well

In Sunday’s Parade magazine, there was a quote by Gandhi about giving. It says, “No matter how insignificant what you do may seem, it is important that you do it.” Joyce Chilton is a candidate whose giving will be a service for the city and its people.

She has worked hard as a employee for the Clark County Public Library for many years. Her discipline has served her well in all areas of public service. Joyce’s decisive ways will serve as a platform that will be good for the city and its people.

A vote for her is a vote that gives the future a bright chance.

Martin helps create
climate of fairness

I have volunteered with Dan Martin in our community for a number of years and qualify him as a man of competency and high moral values. A lifetime Springfield resident, he now serves as a city commissioner.

Through his experience as a commissioner and a contributing citizen, he isfamiliar with the needs of our community and how to serve taxpayers.

Equally important, he has been involved with neighborhood and business concerns, creating a climate of fairness and goodwill. Dan was committed to every word when he first took the oath of office as a commissioner...to uphold The Constitution of the United States, The Constitution of the State of Ohio and The City Charter of Springfield, Ohio.

Dan is most qualified and prepared to reaffirm this commitment. I respectfully ask for your support for Dan Martin.

Dan Martin offers
 different perspective

Government at all levels should be a balance of power. The present campaign for city commission is asking for a commission with one ideology, one mindset and one set of principles to resolve and deal with all issues that face our city.

Vote for the Package says it all: Bundle a group of people who think alike and will dictate, not debate, issues facing our city.

To prevent this narrow mindset, vote for the one candidate who will give the commission balance and a different perspective on resolving the issues.

That candidate is Dan Martin. Dan offers experience, dedication to the community, and proven ability in the 12 years he has served on the commission.

Duncan decisive, but
 also compassionate

When Karen Duncan decided to become a city commissioner, we could not imagine a better candidate. She is compassionate, yet decisive; she is very forthright; and, most important, her actions are motitivated by the best interest of Springfield and all its citizens.

And there is a special place in her heart for the “least of these.”

Join us in voting for Karen Duncan.

Duncan has demonstrated her commitment to the city

During the last four years, Karen Duncan has focused on fiscal discipline, accountability, and careful budget planning to enhance the quality of life in Springfield. She has demonstrated her commitment to supporting economic development, creating jobs, strengthening neighborhoods and promoting a safer community.

Karen brings to our city government many characteristics that I have admired about her for many years. She works to build partnerships, provides leadership to rebuild neighborhoods and the infrastructure of Springfield while continuing to be responsive to the opinions and needs of others. Her enthusiasm for contributing to our quality of life through service is boundless.

Please re-elect Karen Duncan.

Rob Baker is familiar with challenges facing the city

I have known and worked with Rob Baker for more than twenty years. As many have noted, Rob has an outstanding record of service and leadership in community organizations. He has done much to improve the quality of life for Springfield residents.

He knows the challenges that face this community and can be counted on to devote his time and energy to making Springfield a stronger, more attractive community for all its citizens. Rob will be a great addition to the city commission. I urge you to join me in voting for him.
