Joyce Chilton’s ideas are practical and doable
I have known her for over 20 years. Joyce Chilton has always been hardworking, leads by example, and has always had an “I am on it” attitude when it comes to getting a mission accomplished.
There is no doubt in my mind that Mrs. Chilton is not only the right person for the job, but the best person for Springfield City Commission. As a family, we have had long discussions about what could help Springfield move forward, and Mrs. Chilton’s ideas are not only practical but doable. The ideas would also make immediate impact on Springfield.

Chilton’s development ideas just what the people need
Every now and then a candidate comes along whom the people like. A candidate who fits, a candidate whose views, ideas and work ethic is just what the people need.
Joyce Chilton has said she will help bring jobs to Springfield; she will bring neighborhoods back by encouraging small businesses such as neighborhood stores to locate in those neighborhoods.
Joyce Chilton has said she will coordinate efforts between the new hospital, the school system and people of Springfield by creating a neighborhood advisory review board.
These are all good ideas. I suggest that we vote for Joyce Chilton and in four years we visit her and see how much she has accomplished for Springfield.

Joyce Chilton can help move city in the right direction
The achievements of Joyce Chilton, candidate for Springfield City Commissioner, are solid evidence that she is well qualified for city commissioner. She has committed many years of volunteer service to the city of Springfield to improve and enrich our communities.
I think it’s time to vote for a candidate who can move Springfield in the right direction and make positive things happen. I’m ready for a change, and I’m voting for Joyce Chilton for Springfield city commissioner on Nov. 3.

Chilton is thoughtful in her decision-making process
I would like to speak of Joyce Chilton and her run for city commission. Joyce is a very good candidate. She is very honest and compassionate about all things she decides to do.
She gives great thought and research in her decision-making process. She is a very intelligent young lady who loves the city of Springfield and is committed to giving everyone a voice. If elected, I believe she will do her best for all Springfield residents.

Dan Martin is always willing to ‘think outside the box’
I endorse Dan Martin for Springfield City Commission. Dan has been active in the community, serving on boards and volunteering for various community projects.
I am familiar with Dan through his involvement in our church and school, and I am pleased that he has grown up in Springfield and is serving our community. I think it is important that we keep experienced people on the commission.
The city is involved in a number of positive projects around the city, especially downtown. We need people who are creative and willing to “think outside the box” to keep Springfield moving forward.

Martin asks questions and gets facts before he votes
I will vote to re-elect Dan Martin for city commissioner. He has been on the commission for some time now and has developed valuable experience that we need to keep in City Hall.
Especially with the new things happening in Springfield now, it’s important we have some people on commission who know what they’re doing.
I am confident that he will make good decisions and will try to do his best for the city. When I watch the meetings on TV, he asks intelligent questions and tries to get the facts before he votes.

Having known Rob Baker for many years, starting out as my neighbor, later as just a friend, I feel strongly that he is a gentle man of integrity, intelligence and a caring heart for people that surround him. I sincerely would like to see him as our city commissioner and hope others will also.

Northwestern deserves community support
For years, Northwestern schools have been achieving excellent academic ratings with among the lowest staff pay scales in the county, and with facilities and infrastructure held together with prayers and duct tape.
Both of my daughters graduated from Northwestern. I live in the district, but now have no children in the schools. Does this mean I should vote “no” and leave it to others to support the district’s children and my property value? I don’t think so.
Imagine a young family moving to Clark County, trying to decide on a school district. They might look at the facilities at Shawnee, Springfield High, or Tecumseh. By comparison, the facilities at Northwestern are lacking and very worn. Such a family would probably choose another district.
Whether you have Northwestern school children or Northwestern graduates, if you live in the district, it is time to step up.
