Clark-Shawnee has earned a reputation for excellence in education. Reputation and excellence need to be built upon, not just maintained. We are experiencing a period of radical change in all our institutions and education is not exempt. At times it can be beneficial to seek leadership from individuals who share a different perspective and less familiarity with past history and past practices.

I believe I can contribute a fresh perspective to help the district provide higher quality education for students, job satisfaction for employees and better return for the taxpayer’s investment.

In my role as a human resource professional in a high-tech environment, I recognize the need for ever-improving curriculum to provide the math, science and problem-solving skills our graduates need to get jobs or prepare for higher education.

I have enjoyed an active role in designing pre-employment training programs, curriculum design for skilled manufacturing training and participated in development of the first online training programs for operators in the chemical industry.

I believe my education and experience in employee relations provides knowledge and problem-solving skills that will be beneficial to the board and the district as a whole.

I possess experience in preparing and then executing budget plans and will make tough financial decisions whenever necessary. In addition, I have been privileged to serve on numerous business and community boards and believe in the responsibility to openly communicate and return value to those served.
