Dayton back in projected NCAA field

Dayton’s resounding 90-65 win over Xavier has catapulted the team back into the projected NCAA tournament bracket of the renowned Joe Lunardi of ESPN. He has the Flyers as one of the last four teams in the field, slotted as a 12 seed.

The Flyers were dropped from Lunardi’s bracket after suffering back-to-back one-point defeats to St. Joe’s and Rhode Island late last month.

Jerry Palm of Collegerpi.com has had the Flyers in his field throughout the season. They’re an 8 seed this week.

Gee, thanks for the newsflash. But Doug, Joe Lunardi announced late saturday night that he would have the Flyers, and 4 other teams from the A-10 in his projected field this week. Should have been on the web with this yesterday.

Relax, his official projection comes out on Mondays. Also, I think he said 6 A-10 teams Saturday night.

If we take care of business against everyone else, we should definitely be in with winning 2 of 3, and can probably survive losing 2 out of 3, against Charlotte, Temple, and Richmond if we get to third round of A-10 tourney. Another bad loss like St Joe could be disaster if we cannot take care of the top teams.

Not sure the A-10 will get in more than 4 teams. It helps that the Big 10 will likely only get 5 and the Pac 10 4 or 5.

The Pac-10 will be lucky to get two teams in.

Look at the Pac 10 standings people before you post on here, only 1 Pac 10 team is getting in.Also with North Carolina sucking, that will help,i believe that the A10 just might get 6 in the NCAA.

the flyers are weak. they play a soft schedule in a weak conference. they haven’t been ncaa tournament material since the 60s-70s. can’t stand seeing players run up and down the court in dreds, very disrespectful!

Hey Dude: as of today’s rankings, UD’s schedule is tougher than 311 Division 1 schools including Kentucky Texas, Gonzaga, Notre Dame, and Ohio State — but hey, don’t let facts get in the way of your delusions!!!!!!
