Young boys reported missing found

Two young boys have been located after they were reported missing Saturday morning.

Champaign County Sheriff’s deputies along with mutual aid from the Marysville post of the Ohio State Highway patrol were dispatched to the area of 4311 Burton Road in Rush Saturday morning. An 11-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy were reported missing.

Authorities dispatched two airplanes to search the northeast area of the county.

The 11-year-old was found first, and was soon in the care of his grandfather. The 9-year-old, wearing a blue jacket with black dots and a ski mask with red trim wasn’t located until 2:49 p.m. Saturday afternoon. An EMS squad was called to the scene to render any needed medical assistance. Both boys were in good health.

The incident is currently under investigation.
