In 1941, a group of friends stopped to have a meal at Lamb's Grill. The boys finished their dinner but then pulled the old "dine and dash" when they couldn't afford the goodies.
But that day stayed with one of the men. In fact, it bothered him so much that on April 1, 2014, he made things right.
"This woman walks in the front door -- and she looks like she's on a mission," Jasmine Back told KSL.com.
The woman, who turned out to be the man’s daughter, blurted out that her dad had committed a crime there in 1941, Back said.

“And I think, 'What's going to happen next?' Next, she says, '(He) dined and dashed here in 1941," Back said, describing the encounter.
The man's daughter said the total owed was $1, but she handed over a $5 bill and an apology.
That’s not all. She said her father was still alive but “was actually so embarrassed about it that he waited in the car."
The current owner of the business is Francis Liong. He accepted the fiver with a plan in mind.
“The $5 don’t belong to me,” he began. “It belongs to the previous owners, back then. So I need to pay it back.”
Then he offered an olive branch to the man who sent the repayment with his apology.
“I’d like to tell him to please come back and eat at Lamb’s Grill, but don’t dash out,” he smiled.
