Woman injured when car slams into pole

A 49-year-old woman is likely to be cited after an accident Wednesday morning that left her car smashed into a utility pole on Garfield Avenue, police said.

The woman, whose name was not released, suffered minor injuries to her chest and was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine police said.

Police said the woman was headed west when she attempted a right turn onto West Street and apparently lost control at about 11:30 a.m.
