OVI checkpoint nets impaired drivers


Deputies arrested four drivers under the influence Friday night from a focus on removing impaired drivers from area roadways.

Between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., 425 vehicles were checked for impaired drivers and violations along the 700 block of West First Street.

Anita Biles, Clark County OVI Task Force Administrator, said a total of 3 DUI arrests were made from the vehicles checked and a 4th DUI arrest was made from a saturation patrol in the area.
