Construction road closures and detours


Be alert to an overnight closing on U.S. 35 eastbound at Interstate 75 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. on July 25. The official detour during the closure is: U.S. 35 east to I-75 south to I-75 north to U.S. 35 east.

Work on I-75 through Dayton will also require some lane closures, so keep speed to a reasonable 45 mph in the zone. Also, Ohio 503 in Preble County this week will be closing to through traffic until 3 p.m. Friday so workers can install a culvert. Travelers on the stretch between I-70 and U.S. 35 will have to detour. Local traffic will be maintained.

Meanwhile, the other following closures are in effect for the week of July 21– 27:

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

• Ohio 385 between Ohio 196/U.S. 33 and Buffenbarger Road, closed July 21 -25. The official detour is: Ohio 196 to Ohio 67 to Ohio 117.

• I-75 northbound and southbound between Bellefontaine Street and National Road. Lane closures July 7 through Aug. 29 between the hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• Ohio 67 between Dixie Highway and Blank Pike, closed through Oct. 24. The Ohio 67 bridge will have one shared lane open.

CLARK COUNTY

• U.S. 68 northbound and southbound between I-70 and U.S. 40, closed through Sept. 2. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

• Ohio 41 at Ohio 235, closed through Aug. 29. The official detour during this closure is: U.S. 68 south to U.S. 40 west to Ohio 571 west to Ohio 201 north to Ohio 41.

• Ohio 235 northbound and southbound near U.S. 40, bridge restriction through Aug. 31. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained.

DARKE COUNTY

• U.S. 127 between Otterbein-Ithaca Road and Davidson Road, closed through Sept. 12. The official detour during this closure is: Ohio 503 south to U.S. 40 west to U.S. 127.

GREENE COUNTY

• Resurfacing I-675 at various points in both directions approximately between U.S. 35 and Interstate 70. Be ready for lane closures.

MERCER COUNTY

• Ohio 119 between Ohio 49 and Fort Recovery-Minster Road, closed through Aug. 22. The official detour during this closure is: Ohio 118 north to Ohio 219 west to Ohio 49 south.

MIAMI COUNTY

• U.S. 36 between Bollinger Lena Palestine Road and Elm Tree Road closed through July 25.

• Ohio 721 between Hall Road and Milton-Potsdam Road, closed through Sept. 14. The official detour during this closure is: Ohio 571 to Ohio 48 to U.S. 40 to Ohio 503 to Ohio 722 to Ohio 49 to Ohio 721

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

• I-75 northbound between Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and Main Street, overnight lane closures July 24 –25 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. This will become a double lane closure at 10 p.m. One lane will remain open to northbound motorists at all times.

• I-75 southbound between Main Street and U.S. 35, overnight lane closure July 23 -24 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. This will become a double lane closure at 11 p.m. One lane will remain open to southbound motorists at all times.

• US 35 westbound at I-75, Overnight lane closures July 23rd at 6 pm to July 24th at 6 am. This will become a double lane closure at 8 p.m. One lane will remain open to westbound motorists at all times.

• I-75 northbound and southbound between Needmore Road and Wagner Ford Road, Nightly lane closures July 25 – 28 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. These will become double lane closures at 10 p.m. Friday night and 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday nights. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

• I-70 eastbound and westbound between Airport Access Road and Ohio 48, Nightly lane closures July 21–25 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

• I-75 between Ohio 741 and Miami Chapel Road/Cincinnati Street, Lane closures July 26 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Two lanes will remain open in each direction at all times.

• I-75 northbound between SR 73 and South Dixie Drive, Daily lane closures July 21–25 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Two lanes will remain open in each direction at all times.

• Frederick Pike under I-70, closed through Nov. 3. The official detour during this closure is: Southbound — U.S. 40 east to Dog Leg Road south to Little York Road west to Frederick Pike; Northbound — Little York Road east to Dog Leg Road north to U.S. 40 west to Frederick Pike.

WARREN COUNTY

• A new entrance ramp from westbound Ohio 73 to northbound Interstate 75 requires a ramp closure this weekend. Beginning at 9 p.m. Aug. 1, the ramp from east and westbound Ohio 73 to northbound I-75 will be closed for pavement work. The ramp will reopen to traffic at 8 a.m. Aug. 2. The ramps at Ohio 123 to the south and Austin Pike to the north will be open to traffic.
