South Vienna woman accused of firing gun at Wayside Tavern incident

Clark County Sheriff’s vehicle hits pole, sustains heavy damage


A Clark County D.A.R.E. officer was transported to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash at the intersection of State Route 40 at Lower Valley Pike.

Around 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Bethel Township Fire crews were dispatched on a report of a vehicle into a pole. Upon arrival, crews confirmed a Sheriff’s vehicle had hit a pole, broke the pole off, and sustained heavy damage to the vehicle.

The officer driving the D.A.R.E. car was treated at the scene and tranported to Springfield Regional Medical Center.

The incident is under investigation.
